Living in Budderoo
Budderoo is a locality on the plateau and escarpment north-west of Berry that is almost entirely national park and nature reserve, and the census records almost nobody living in it. It straddles the boundary between the Kiama and Shoalhaven council areas. The plateau is heath and hanging swamp, ringed by cliffs, and the slopes below carry tall forest and rainforest.

Plateau, cliffs and rainforest
Budderoo National Park takes in much of this country, and it is best known for the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre west of Jamberoo, with its raised walkways, and for Carrington Falls. The heath on the plateau is home to the endangered eastern bristlebird. Berry, Jamberoo and Kangaroo Valley are the nearest towns.

Selling in Budderoo
Private land in Budderoo is scarce, so sales are rare. Where a holding does come up on the edge of the park, buyers look at access, zoning, bushfire risk, water and the outlook before the house. We can talk through any property here and appraise it from comparable rural sales across the Berry and Jamberoo districts.
Renting it out instead? We manage rental homes in Budderoo too, where houses in the postcode lease for around $800 a week.
