Living in Saddleback Mountain
Saddleback Mountain is a rural locality on the slopes of the mountain of the same name, the saddle-shaped peak of about 600 metres on the edge of the Illawarra escarpment behind Kiama. The mountain is the remains of a collapsed volcanic vent, the source of the ancient lava flows known as the Gerringong Volcanics. The locality is farmland with a scattering of rural homes, reached from Kiama's Manning Street along Saddleback Mountain Road.
