Living in Tongarra
Tongarra is a rural locality in the City of Shellharbour, west of Albion Park, with Tullimbar, Calderwood, Yellow Rock Ridge and Macquarie Pass around it. The Illawarra Highway runs through it towards the escarpment. It has been dairy country since at least the 1890s, when a small dairy factory opened here, and it has stayed clear of suburban development: farms, paddocks and homes on large holdings.

Selling
Selling in Tongarra
Holdings in Tongarra change hands rarely, and value rests on the land: its size, water, zoning, access from the highway, any creek frontage, and the state of the house and sheds. We appraise rural property from comparable sales around Albion Park and the Macquarie Valley and can explain what buyers of farmland and acreage look for.
Renting it out instead? We manage rental homes in Tongarra too, where houses in the postcode lease for around $800 a week.
